You can fly United, Delta and American fly into Queretaro (QRO) or Leon (BJX). These are the
closest airports to San Miguel about an hour and half from the heart of the city. If you choose
to explore Mexico City then come join us, this is about a 4 hour drive to San Miguel de Allende.
We recommend that you plan on an earlier landing and departing times as it is best to travel between cities during the day. If you have questions about the flight options, please reach out to us and we can help you.

We have two wonderful options for transportation from your airport directly to your hotel or Airbnb. The first is BaijoGo which we have taken several times. This is a great small shuttle-style option for solo travelers or small groups. Popular with the local expats! Just enter the code: Loren & Sam 0224 to receive a discount. The second is SMXPERIENCE which offers multiple types of private cars (sedan, SUVs and 8-passenger vans). Just follow the links to book your transportation.

There are an abundance of hotels and Airbnbs to stay at during your time in San Miguel de Allende. We included some options below, but the main thing we recommend is anywhere near El Centro or Parque Juarez.
